Applied Data Science Partners (ADSP) is an innovative data science and AI consultancy based in London. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Project Manager to join us overseeing the execution of data science projects, ensuring they meet our high standards and client expectations.
As a Technical Project Manager at ADSP, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of multiple, concurrent complex data science projects from conception through to deployment. You will work closely with our tech leads, project coordinator and our team of data scientists, engineers, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
The Role
• Project manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for data science and AI projects.
• Create client facing presentations collaborating with technical teams for input.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
• Run Sprint planning sessions & run morning Stand Ups, managing DevOps Boards, ticketing system.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Report and escalate issues to management as needed.
• Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
• Perform risk management to minimise project risks.
• Work with team to create, maintain and review comprehensive project documentation
• Run retrospectives at the end of the project / project phases.
Required Skills
Required Skills:
• Proven working experience as a project manager overseeing multiple technical projects.
• Solid understanding of software development processes.
• Excellent client-facing and internal written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of project management tools (e.g., DevOps, Planner).
• MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Experience in managing projects in a consultancy setting.
Preferred Experience:
• Experience working in data science, AI, or technology sector.
• Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP) and understanding of data science methodologies.
• PMP / PRINCE II certification.
